Hat City Quilt Pattern

I am sooooo excited today to be share a peek at my Hat City quilt! This version features fabric from the Pride & Prejudice collection from Riley Blake Designs.

I sketched out this quilt design over a year ago. I saw a beautiful South American textile with a similar design and I knew I wanted to translate that into a quilt, which my son named "Hat City." Sketching it out was exciting, but executing the design into a real pattern was totally overwhelming, so I let it sit on a figurative shelf. That is, until I saw the Pride & Prejudice fabric line and I knew I wanted to finally make this pattern a reality.

While stitching up this quilt, I found several little things I want to change to improve it just a little bit, so I'm still working through the details, but the Hat City pattern will be coming very soon!

Here is a closeup of some of the gorgeous prints in this fabric line.

And here is a closeup of Hat City. This is a quilt design that would look amazing with both traditional and modern fabrics. It would also be fun to embellish the hats and collars with lace, buttons, and bows. So many fun options!

For the quilt back, I used this beautiful Olive print from the Riley Blake Designs Texture basics collection by Sandy Gervais.

I quilted this on my domestic machine using my favorite petal echo design. You can see my video demonstrating this HERE.
